Procedures After Acquiring Turkish Citizenship (Application via mail is not possible）

* If you acquired Turkish citizenship, and live in Japan with a valid visa, you need to complete following steps to get Turkish passport.

* 1) and 2) can be completed at the same time. As for the passport, Turkish ID card (2) is necessary.

1) ADDRESS REGISTRATION

* Original document that shows you acquired Turkish citizenship and Turkish ID number,

* Original passport and a copy,

* Japanese zairyu card and a copy

2) TURKISH ID CARD APPLICATION

* Address registration

* Two photographs with white background (5x5 cm)

* Red letter-pack

* Application fee982 JPY

ID cards come from Turkey within 2-3 weeks

3) TURKISH PASSPORT APPLICATION

* Turkish ID card

* Two photographs with white background (5x5 cm)

* Red letter-pack

* Application fee 15298 JPY

Passports come from Turkey within 4-5 weeks
